This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on reddit.com/r/macapps

Our great sponsors
  • Appwrite - The Open Source Firebase alternative introduces iOS support
  • ONLYOFFICE ONLYOFFICE Docs — document collaboration in your environment
  • SonarLint - Clean code begins in your IDE with SonarLint
  • InfluxDB - Access the most powerful time series database as a service
  • Rectangle

Move and resize windows on macOS with keyboard shortcuts and snap areas

I'd still recommend finding replacements parts your workflow if you were accustomed to them on windows. apps like rectangle give you snap windows which is probably the biggest pain point coming from windows.

  • Lunar

Intelligent adaptive brightness for your external monitors

Lunar is my favorite way to control brightness especially if using external monitor(s).

  • Appwrite

Appwrite - The Open Source Firebase alternative introduces iOS support. Appwrite is an open source backend server that helps you build native iOS applications much faster with realtime APIs for authentication, databases, files storage, cloud functions and much more!

  • HomeBrew

🍺 The missing package manager for macOS (or Linux)

If you're a developer or technically inclined you'll definitely want Homebrew for managing software you have installed.

  • numi

    Beautiful calculator app for macOS

https://numi.app I like to use this calculator app over the default one.
