    • Thanks. Just checked using https://github.com/xeals/signal-back and indeed the SMS are backed up as well. So, all is well. (Although I would have still preferred Signal to just leave the SMS in the unencrypted phone storage, because now it's hard or impossible to switch the SMS app back to something else)
