Privacy vs Security. I'd like to point out that alkun.org only focused on privacy. The only security measures we have are secure HTTP and encryted password upon sign-up. If you feel insecure sharing your email, you may hide it or don't add it. Our sign up don't require your email or phone number. It's pretty basic traditional safety mechanism.
Another reason is why not, many major platforms took long enough to even add small things users were asking for. I took inspiration from SurrealDB database, it's young but has a lot of potentials, adding things deemed impossible by major players.
Al-Kun will try to serve most if not all APIs submitted to Open-Kun repo. Main benefits here is many will see and correct/validate data/algorithm on the public repo.
