    Firmware repository for Silead touchscreen controllers

    • I previously (several years ago) installed android x86 in a windows tablet and faced similar issues. The cause was an incorrect firmware file used by the touchscreen. I was able to find one here (This will probably not work for you, but you may find one). I also found that the kernel driver (the *.ko file) for the silead touch screen has configuration for different models. The old version of the driver attached the configuration to the firmware file itself (at the end of the file), whereas the new driver included the configuration in the code itself (IMO a big step backwards).
