  • ruffle

A Flash Player emulator written in Rust

  • I don't have personal experience in using it, but Ruffle is a new Flash player that can run in browsers via WebAssembly. It can run many old games already, it seems. It might be worth a shot for the existing flash games.

  • Phaser

Discontinued Phaser is a fun, free and fast 2D game framework for making HTML5 games for desktop and mobile web browsers, supporting Canvas and WebGL rendering. [Moved to: https://github.com/phaserjs/phaser] (by photonstorm)

  • Beyond that, I've seen some people recommend Phaser to do the sort of work that used to be done in Flash. Unfortunately, Flash was killed without a valid 1:1 replacement. The easy to use HTML5/WebGL toolkit just didn't appear as it was expected to.
