I'm not knowledgeable enough to help troubleshoot, but I was able to get the binhex-qbittorrentvpn working for me. I more-or-less followed the instructions on github under the AirVPN provider settings for wireguard. I don't use AirVPN, but I just downloaded my WireGuard configuration file from my VPN provider and put it in the right folder and edited the docker settings as instructed (selecting custom for VPN provider). I tested it and it works for me and my VPN provider shows data being used when testing it. It took me a sec to get it working, but it's very seamless once it works.
