  • OpenBK7231T_App

    Open source firmware (Tasmota/Esphome replacement) for BK7231T, BK7231N, BL2028N, T34, XR809, W800/W801, W600/W601 and BL602

  • - It seems like a lot of power plugs have moved from ESP MCUs to non-ESP Tuya-style modules. For some of them, you can flash something similar to Tasmota on them (you may need to desolder the module though): https://github.com/openshwprojects/OpenBK7231T_App . It works, but it's still quite rough. If you're comfortable desoldering/soldering modules, and comfortable with the toolchain to build & flash the code, it's worth a shot. Almost all of these modules have equivalent modules that use ESP8266 / ESP8285 chips. If you like Tasmota, you can swap out the module and use that. The ones I ran into for my Swiss plugs have ca identical footprints, so you can swap them out, and flash them with Tasmota. (For example WB2S vs TYWE2S modules). Side-side-note, if you're going to use smart plugs, getting some that measure power usage are nice.

  • rtl_433

Program to decode radio transmissions from devices on the ISM bands (and other frequencies)

  • Those sensors + an RTL-SDR and RTL_433 to send the data to MQTT/HA is my go-to setup for environmental sensors.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
