  • GitHub repo Boostnote

A markdown editor for developers on Mac, Windows and Linux.

Project mention: Checkbox "jump to top" issue returns? | | 2021-05-27

I've been off Boostnote for a while and after updating to 0.16.1 I discovered a return of the behavior where checking a checkbox scrolls the page to the top. It's basically this same behavior reported under issue #3077 two years ago and confirmed that it affects Boostnote on both Catalina and Big Sur. Since I don't see a new ticket on it and this update has been out for 9 months I figured it must be "pilot error" or an issue porting a document authored using a previous version.

  • GitHub repo spicetify-cli

Commandline tool to customize Spotify client. Supports Windows, MacOS and Linux.

Project mention: How do I use monster cat with Spotify | | 2021-06-15

To answer your question: you first need to know that using spotify the app and spotify the online service are two different things for rainmeter. For the app, a skin needs to use the now playing measure, of which spotify is one of the partially supported players you can use. For the online service, a skin needs to use the webnowplaying plugin and you need to install a browser extension. (You may also need to install spicetify; for help with that, please visit their community.)

  • GitHub repo TiddlyWiki

A self-contained JavaScript wiki for the browser, Node.js, AWS Lambda etc.

Project mention: Safest way to have my notes accessible anywhere? | | 2021-06-17

TiddlyWiki is a personal wiki contained in a single html file. It supports encryption using Stanford Javascript Crypto Library meaning that you can host it anywhere including Github Pages. Or you can keep it locally, or in Google Drive or whatever. It is extendible with plugins and hackable. You can add project management or use Roam-like note taking on top of basic wiki. Everything is written in WikiText but you can add markdown support via plugins. It supports images and drawing and you can add basically anything to it via drag and drop.

Project mention: Gnome 40 in stable branch ETA? | | 2021-06-17

I believe the hold up is caused by certain Gnome extensions manjaro uses out of the box not being ready for Gnome 40. In particular Dash-to-Dock still isn't compatible:
