This might be a repost but I was wondering if on there was a program (linux debian based) that would allow you to make searches on youtube for videos (preferely based on mpv) kinda line ani-cli for gogoanime ? (or if there's a way to repurpose ani-cli to search on youtube)
https://github.com/trizen/youtube-viewer is the one that I use right now

Is there any way for qutebrowser to play youtube videos with h264 codec?
youtube-viewer is imo also really, really fast with loading a yt video into mpv (doesn't use youtube-dl/yt-dlp).

Did anything change to youtube ads? Not blocked anymore.
I say this everytime when qb + mpv comes up, but in my experience youtube-viewer opens URLs a lot faster than if you would just use mpv (you can test this from the commandline, mpv/youtube-viewer $URL — be sure the appropiately configure youtube-viewer first, so that it directly launches mpv). It also has a pretty nice config for storing youtube-related playback preferences.
- Is there a lightweight youtube client?

Youtube UI
Do you mean like GTK Youtube Viewer for Linux computers, or NewPipe for Android?
-
Searching and playing youtube videos simply with one command using fzf or dmenu.
you might wanna check this out. Its always nice to use lightweight options but it has some perks...i noticed it starts those videos faster for example that simply mpv "ytb link" with its ytbdl hook

There's one called PipeCat (sound only). It allows you to make playlists locally, shuffle play and stuff. Give it a shot https://github.com/Wojnstup/Pipecat
- I made a CLI Spotify-like app for Linux that fetches songs from Youtube. It's open source and lightweight. All of the audio is played with mpv in command line, so it will work on Termux (Android). Any feedback apreciated!
