A simple Cloudflare WAF rule blocked nearly all comment spam
I should also say that while I don't use captcha, I do have a hidden honeypot field and then a massive blacklist sourced from splorp's github (plus a few of my custom keywords). If something manages to get past Cloudflare, they still have the honeypot and the blacklist to deal with. All this happens without inconveniencing actual human users.

that's not the blacklist, this is. over 50k terms, not common one word ones like the one you have mentioned.

You just have to do different shit every few years as they make things more difficult. I finally looked up the best solution recently: the Adblock app with Blackjack’s https://github.com/BlackJack8/iOSAdblockList will block YouTube and all other ads on iOS 16 for Firefox

Blocklist question: if oisd uses 1hosts, I don't need to add 1hosts. Is that right?
This has probably been asked before but will we be able to choose our own list we like? I.E this list something among those lines.
