Where to discuss development of the macOS app?
The [github repo](https://github.com/WireGuard/wireguard-apple) is a readonly mirror. The [official git repo](https://git.zx2c4.com/wireguard-apple) has no discussion/wiki area that I can see.

Is a 35% drop in download speed normal?
I thought so too, but I saw posts like this that made me wonder. I haven't had a chance to look at the source code yet.

Send Wireguard Android configuration from MDM.
I have an MDM and for iOS devices I am able to send configurations (profiles) with Wireguard client data and it is configured automatically. I have followed this: https://github.com/WireGuard/wireguard-apple/blob/master/MOBILECONFIG.md

Running a VPN server on iOS is against AppStore's Guidelines
Okay, I just dove into wireguard‘s source code and it looks like I made wrong assumptions. When I used mullvad or wireguard, it always showed „127.0.0.1“ as the server, however, according to wireguard‘s source, this is just set as a placeholder. I assume that mullvad used this code to implement their app too.

Wireguard forced-on for iOS devices
The most hopeful discussion was this Github project... but., I can't get iOS to accept the .mobileconfig as a legitimate profile. Hoping some of the smart folks here had a solution.

Is the Apple Wireguard project even compatible with catalyst enabled?
The Apple Wireguard project on Github currently supports both iOS and MacOS natively.

Question regarding device management:
So, I found this guide to create a mobileconfig for WireGuard (https://github.com/WireGuard/wireguard-apple/blob/master/MOBILECONFIG.md) , and I’ve heard a mobileconfig with a managed device can force the phone to make ALL traffic go through vpn (I run a pihole accessible via WireGuard and want to use with that) and my question is how do I setup a managed device for myself for the purpose of total network traffic control?

Ask HN: Is Public WiFi Dangerous?
Or the equally simple Subspace [1] if you want to stick with self-hosting Wireguard directly.

I have been using a $5 vps for setting a simple vpn for family. it is super easy to ru your own vpn now. Some sites dont work because they have dumb ip blocklists but most do or give hcaptcha.

I would use WireGuard with a popular front-end and install in on a raspberry pi. At least that was my initial idea. At my work we use https://github.com/subspacecommunity/subspace.

Wg-access-server: An all-in-one WireGuard VPN solution with a web UI
I think it's worth knowing how simple and easy it is to set up wireguard when you don't need a web UI or any of that other fluff on there. It's right in entrypoint.sh[1] and some dockerfiles - set up firewall; set up wireguard devices, keys and configs; set up dnsmasq. Three simple steps on linux or openbsd (Not sure if FreeBSD ever got past that integration issue yet)

When comparing wireguard-apple and subspace you can also consider the following projects:
