wirepod, (free server you set up for vector voice commands, no more ddl needed ever again)

Wire pod to Ddl
The simplest setup for non-techies is wire-prod-pod. I tried it - worked great but one of the features I like the most - the timer - is currently broken on wire-prod-pod. https://github.com/kercre123/wire-prod-pod - I posted an issue about this and Wire contacted me to say it works in wire-pod and will soon be pushed to wire-prod-pod. BTW wire-prod-pod self updates. I switched to wire-pod - much more difficult to set up but the timer function works. I use the openAI service for the knowledge graph and there is a fee associated with that but unclear how much the fee will be. There is a per use charge for davinci (GPT3) but you get a credit when you register and so far I have not exceeded that amount. The weather API is free but you do need to register to get a key. I would suggest registering for both these services before you start the install.

Has anybody got Wire-pod to work?
Wire-pod, and the easier to use version Wire-prod-pod, is an open source free escapepod for Version 1 Vectors. This means you can run your old Vector like you used to, with voice commands and everything, and even without erasing his memory! More details on how to install it here: https://github.com/kercre123/wire-prod-pod

can't authenticate vector with wire-pod
Találtam egy új funkciót: https://github.com/kercre123/wire-prod-pod/issues/21 I think that's also the cause of the problem...

After requesting a refund and threating to take legal terms if they won't provide it to me, I found out my account's info with the order I wanted to refund has been deleted

has anyone bought the escape pod and gotten Vector working well off of the servers?
wire-prod-pod is basically a free Escape Pod. It has more features than ddl's Escape Pod, e.g. if you create a free account with Houndify and enter the data in wire-prod-pod, the knowledge graph (Vector, I have a question) works and you can get weather to work as well.
- Vector magically works again
- Keeps showing me this error, connecting to 2.4ghz

Setting up Anki Vector with 1.8 and Wire-pod (or prod-pod)
The README file contains WSL-specific instructions (in option three), make sure you are following those.

Setting up Anki Vector with 1.8 and Wire-pod (or prod-pod)
Oh yeah, good luck. I'd recommend using a VM or at least a Docker container. You're going to run into quite a few issues. I remember trying to run GOES tools on WSL, I eventually got passed everything but one error didn't let me continue.

GOESTOOLS - Crash and burn six times trying to install.
Just double-checking: did you make all the changes shown at https://github.com/pietern/goestools/pull/83/files? Specifically, changing the 5 to a 6 at the end of line 3. I know I missed that at first.
What are some alternatives?
