Yet another Ansible playbook
My other playbooks: - MacOS Playbook - Windows Playbook
-
Ubuntu WSL2 Ansible Playbook
It also can be used together with my Ansible playbook for Windows: https://github.com/AlexNabokikh/windows-playbook

Install gitbash from powershell?
However for what you're trying to do that's the wrong approach. You want to use an ansible playbook if you want to reproducibly set up your workstation, such as this one: https://github.com/AlexNabokikh/windows-playbook

Got a new job, how do you all set up your own work laptop?
I'm using Ansible to set-up my machines. Here is the one that I use for Windows https://github.com/AlexNabokikh/windows-playbook You can find my other repos for MacOs and Linux/WSL2.

Windows Ansible Playbook
If you are interested and want to use something similar on your home machine, you can check out my repo here: https://github.com/AlexNabokikh/windows-playbook
Hi, Ansible community! This weekend I was migrating one of my home machines to the new Windows 11. In the process of reinstalling, I decided it was time to automate the configuration and created an ansible playbook that does most of the work of preparing the system. It installs software that I need, configure wsl2, taskbar, explorer, cleans up the desktop from icons, etc. There is still a lot of stuff that I want to add, such as startup menu and taskbar icons automatic pin/unpin, but at this point, it already does a pretty good job. If you are interested and want to use something similar on your home machine, you can check out my repo here: https://github.com/AlexNabokikh/windows-playbook Tips and criticism are welcome. Thanks!

Monthly 'Shameless Self Promotion' thread - 2022/05
I was inspired by this one from geerlingguy https://github.com/geerlingguy/ansible-role-dotfiles and adjusted it for the stow format. Its nothing special but for my first role I am quite happy with it.

Ansible Role to install dotfiles with stow
This is my first post here and the first time I have really done something with ansible.Inspired by https://github.com/geerlingguy/ansible-role-dotfiles I wanted to make a similar role that workes with dotfile repos using the stow layout, such as mine.
