Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Telemetry Tuning And Troubleshooting
For data logging, check out this thread. I don’t have to background of OP in that thread but apps like Google Sheets also have powerful data visualization tools. An alternative program I saved a link to is this github link. That looked like it needs a lot more fiddling so I never did more than bookmark the page.
