Too many Mac apps are being built with Electron
I've been learning game dev recently and I've discovered that the Godot game engine is actually a very capable app builder. It has all the benefits of electron -- accessible to developers, multi platform support -- but it appears the apps are much leaner.
The author mentions the official WhatsApp weighing in at 324 MB. There's an open source WhatsApp clone made in Godot that builds at about 55 MB. Of course with all the media and features of WhatsApp its not a apples to apples, but regardless the results are interesting.

Fun fact, Tesla also uses Godot for their mobile app.

During the past few days I have been working on this WhatsApp UI clone using Godot. Today I have released the final update adding the calls and status pages with their UI. The code is also released on Github MIT licensed for free. Whatsup Godot Github Repo Do star the repo and check it out.

In case you missed it, PankuConsole actually has a powerful screen notifier.
PankuConsole is a all-in-one feature-packed dev console for godot engine 4 aimed to provide debug support at runtime (It was initially developed as a debug tool to help me build my dream open-world rpg, however, I failed at which, so the plugin became some sort of legacy). Aside from its many other documented features, I have found that a lot people don't realize PankuConsole also has a powerful screen notifier, so I made a demo video to show you this.

Have you heard of Panku Console It has the same feature and much more. You might want to consider using that so you can focus your time on your game.
