tide/surf app for watch
Here is a really good repo by Google filled with WearOS sample projects. Helped me a lot with setting up communication between watch and phone. This is also a good starting point to understanding how these apps work. https://github.com/android/wear-os-samples

Finally got my hands on the Pixel Watch. Will activate LTE soon.
There are plenty of open source watchfaces out there. Check out this github repo by Google. It contains best practice examples all around wear os including watchfaces.

WearOs: Complications without borders
Main documentation about how to make watch faces under Wear OS seems to be the WatchFaceKotlin example. This example contains borders around complications. Some installed watch faces don't have borders around complications.

The state of watch face development on Samsung watches
I converted my codebase to Kotlin a few years ago, but I am struggling to move to new wear libraries. There is so much work to do, because Google, in their immense wisdom, decided to change everything. And don't even get me started about the Decomposition API (option to add second hand in ambient mode). I opened this issue almost a year ago and got no answer. https://github.com/android/wear-os-samples/issues/85

Hi there !! I can see pixel burning or screen retention should i go to Samsung care? For replacement??
Actually, the AOD protection should be built-in by the system that moves the clock around to avoid burn-in, and all that watch face could do is to lit as less pixel as possible. However this feature may not be available on gw4, as mentioned here on the github page of pixel minimal watch face

The state of watch face development on Samsung watches
Just take a look at the CompatHelper.kt class in the PixelMinimalWatchface project. This horrible code is what you need to do to make your watch face work on Samsung watches. Just to be clear, u/benoitletondor is doing an amazing job supporting his watch face, but that's not what he or any other dev should be spending their time doing.
