Announcing: the Motoko Developer Experience Survey!
As the new maintainer of the VS Code extension, I completely agree that we need to rewrite the LSP in a more portable language. I'm currently working on this (initially as a fallback for projects without dfx configuration), and this survey will directly inform what features we prioritize in this overhaul of the extension.

Announcing: the Motoko Developer Experience Survey!
Thanks for taking the survey! The OCaml LSP doesn't actually have a formatter, so I recently built out a Motoko Prettier plugin which will soon be included in the VS Code extension (and already works in IDEs which support .prettierrc config files). The project's readme explains how to set this up if you're interested in trying it out.
