Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Announcing: the Motoko Developer Experience Survey!
As the new maintainer of the VS Code extension, I completely agree that we need to rewrite the LSP in a more portable language. I'm currently working on this (initially as a fallback for projects without dfx configuration), and this survey will directly inform what features we prioritize in this overhaul of the extension.

The Flix Programming Language
Just a friendly UBC piggyback on Waterloo’s programming language ;)
Over summer, I built my own little functional language, Crumb (https://github.com/liam-ilan/crumb). Unlike Flix, the scope is tiny, but some pretty awesome stuff has been done with it. (Checkout this pixel art editor in your terminal, 100% Crumb: https://github.com/ronilan/crumbicon).
