Is there an online markdown editor that syncs and is cross platform?
I'm the developer of octo.app. It's a progressive web app, so you can either install it to your local device (if supported) or just use it through the web browser. It works offline (even in the browser), and you can sign up (for free) with Google, Twitter, or GitHub to sync documents across devices.

A Guide to Customizing the Zsh Shell Prompt
I hope this article helped shed some light on the shell prompt syntax. It was a lot of fun to write while experimenting with my own prompt (which you can see at the top of this page).
