For an option that works on Vim, if you already use tpope's vim-fugitive, there's vim-rhubarb (for GitHub) and fugitive-gitlab.vim (for GitLab).

fugitive: is there a way to get GBrowse to work?
I believe fugitive only supports github, check out vim-rhubarb for more handlers.

Fugitive's :GBrowse does not work out-of-the-box, you need to install additional plugins for each git host, e.g. vim-rhubarb for github, and there is one for gitlab but now I don't recall the name.

If you mostly use GitHub and use tpope/vim-fugitive, you can already do this with https://github.com/tpope/vim-rhubarb, visual select, :GBrowse.
