Neovim 0.5 Is Overpowering
I still use both, with a shared vimrc. The biggest advantage of neovim for me is support for the clipboard in Wayland.[1] There are workarounds for vim (vim-fakeclip[2] is the best I found) but they have many limitations which can be frustrating.

How to do this in Neovim?
In case you want to select multiple variables and change those all at once, you can check out https://github.com/terryma/vim-multiple-cursors.

How to show multiple cursors when inserting from visual block mode?
You want something like this plugin I'm guessing. My use doesn't need that so I've never used it before.

Would you be interested in multicursor support for Neovim?
By the way this is probably my favorite nvim plugin simply because it solves part of this problem https://github.com/terryma/vim-multiple-cursors. However it doesnt help with the more complex examples, like the one I mentioned above.
