I don't think anybody here is saying -- implied or otherwise -- that N++ is beyond reproach. You can even browse around this thread and it won't take long to find people saying "I don't like X, but Notepad++ is still great". It has idiosyncrasies -- I've ran into plenty myself -- and in fact at the time of writing there are exactly 8008 (lol) times N++ has been officially reproached. Rather, I think the point is more that there are productive channels to provide constructive feedback, and sending the developer a private "I'm sick of you and your program and I'm not going to use it anymore" email is not one of those channels. Even if we assume the sender has valid complaints they're still just being an asshole about it because of the tone they chose to use to convey those complaints.
