anyone have a working vial configuration files to share?
i wish to enable several features on my corne thru vial but could not seem to make those from this link to compile - first error was about keycode then something about dynamic keymap when i had the first fixed/simplified. i'd appreciate if anyone could share their tested vial configuration files that i can use as guide.

Anyone using VIAL on their Keychron QMK/VIA boards?

How to work on hex file from keyboard maker?
You'll probably need to download the files from the GitHub repository for Vial or QMK. Depending on what you prefer and what you need. Then you'll have to learn what you need to change to set up the screens and then to edit the files. Your keyboard maker probably can provide you some files you can use. Then you'll have to compile your own HEX file. And only after that you can re-flash your keyboard and use all those amazing things you integrated into the firmware.

Trying to use vial with Keebio iris rev 7
It looks like that's a vial keymap specifically for the rev2? I don't know whether it would make a difference, but you could try to compile from this keymap instead and see if it works?

I have to unplug and replug my ergo kb after startup before it starts working
According to this (https://github.com/vial-kb/vial-qmk/blob/vial/keyboards/bastardkb/charybdis/4x6/v2/splinky/config.h) the Vial firmware for Splinky based Charybdis is written natively using RP2040 pin names.

Megalodon Triple Knob Macro Pad Firmware Update
Think you can also port to VIAL? I am currently using the doio firmware without problems, but guessing your updates will be useful: https://github.com/vial-kb/vial-qmk/tree/vial/keyboards/doio/kb16

Help going from a VIA .json to a QMK compatible .hex | Libra Mini
I've been using VIA to edit my keyboard layout, but unfortunately the software can't find my keyboard anymore (it just gets stuck on 'Searching for devices'). I think I need to reflash my keyboard. I don't have any .hex files for it with QMK toolbox, and the libra mini doesn't show up in the list of keyboards on the online QMK configurator. I do, however, have access to the files found in vial-qmk/keyboards/libra_mini/keymaps/vial (found here https://github.com/vial-kb/vial-qmk/tree/vial/keyboards/libra_mini). I've been using the vial.json file from there to change the layout up until now. How would I go about getting a .hex file, or better yet, a keymap.JSON file compatible with the online QMK configurator?
- ID75 or XD75?
- Via no longer recognizes Drop CTRL firmware supports macros. Any suggestions?
- How do you add more macros in VIAL?

[IC] MKC75---Price USD99+, Full CNC Case, Three-in-one Structure, Multi-layout, Knobs, Per-Key RGB and Much More Custom Keyboard
which doesn't aspire confidence in that happening since even though boards like the JRIS65 and JRIS75 tout "QMK/VIA" support, there are no entries in both, the qmk/firmware repo and the the-via/keyboards repo, and no PRs were raised in both to add support for them. Since the source code for those boards wasn't anywhere to be found, that in of itself was a violation of the GPL 2.0/3.0 License, which QMK and VIA abide by.

[QMK & VIA DEVELOPMENT] Preonic not connecting to VIA after flashing custom firmware
My firmware has the `VIA_ENABLE = yes` on its rules.mk (on my keymap folder), and there's also the via folder on the project which also has it enabled. Using the official preonic keymaps.json on the Design tab of VIA also doesn't work. That makes me think that I'm missing some kind of board identification on my code? QMK Toolbox recognizes the device as a Preonic.

Q6 Knob - Caps lock indicator....
QMK and Need your firmware In the documentation https://docs.qmk.fm/#/keycodes\_basic this is the KC_CAPS_LOCK or KC_CAPS key For ease of copy-paste, look for text mentioning these words and turning on the indication in the firmware of other keyboards on https://github.com/qmk/qmk\_firmware/tree/master/keyboards https://github.com/the-via/keyboards you can start with Keychron keyboards

VIA for the GMMK 2
Hi y'all. This basically a little PSA that's meant to compliment u/cosmic_c 's post about adding support for the GMMK 2. Although that PR was for the 96% ANSI variant of the GMMK 2, my PR adds support for the ISO variant of the 96%, and both variants (ANSI and ISO) for the 65% version.

GMMKM2 VIA support enabled
The JSON you should use for the design tab to verify is this one. If you can't download it just copy/paste the code into a txt file then change the extension to .json and load it up.
