vala-language-server VS firefox-gnome-theme

Super cool. Princeton Ferro (the speaker) has done a lot for Vala. The VSCode Extension with Vala Language Server already provide a wonderful development experience. When choosing a development language, his tooling is what helped me settle on Vala.

Anyways. There is the Vala Language Server, and provides most features you'd expect in a Language Server. Install it in your system and follow the respective instructions for the IDE you want to use.

Hey all, I want to make an extension for supporting the Vala Language Server (https://github.com/Prince781/vala-language-server) in Nova. Are there any tutorials I can follow? Or any other tips, documentations etc.? This is my first time trying to make such an extension.

Hey! What exactly are you want to improve for the terminal? Vala autocompletion is in the hands of the respective vala language server (recently we changed it to this LSP https://github.com/Prince781/vala-language-server)

I'm pretty sure he uses vala-language-server - at least that's what I use within Visual Studio Code.

Out of curiosity, what are the problems with VSCode? A Vala language server, like https://github.com/benwaffle/vala-language-server , has a number of useful tools, including diagnostics, documentation and jump to definition.

if you use gnome, have you also tried firefox-gnome-theme?

I recently installed Firefox-gnome-theme from Github. When I tried to uninstall it, it wont go back to original Firefox theme. I even tried to install Firefox again after uninstalling the one with Gnome theme and removing every folder with Mozilla or Firefox in its name.

I just checked this discussion here (https://github.com/rafaelmardojai/firefox-gnome-theme/discussions/447) and it seems this theme is not tested/might not work well on Windows :( sorry my comment was misleading, I didn't think this post was going to get this much traction.

It's nice in theory to try to have a cohesive design, but as soon as you start downloading additional apps, thing will start being less and less coherent. Maybe you'll get Firefox to match the rest of the system (but that will require a separately maintained CSS for every ,theme like what Rafael Mardojai does for Firefox), but apps Chromium, OBS, Steam, Discord, Spotify? It's not realistic to expect every App to maintain a version that fits every DE there is. The only thing I would care about is that the apps come with a Light/Dark mode and follow the system preference.
