Protect Video offload script?
If you can rsync over the .ubv files, you could use unifi-protect-remix to convert them to .mp4 files.

A feature I really liked about the Unifi Protect platform was the option to select a portion of video using a timeline slider, and it would then extract those parts and concatenate them into a downloaded file. The problem with Protect is that they use proprietary UBV files for storage and the only other way to bulk export was using a remux tool.

Any way to backup Protect offsite?
I came across this unifi-protect-remux github project that is supposed to convert UVB files to MP4 and might be useful. The setup there could be complicated.

I migrated protect from a UDM-PRO to a UNVR and it went pretty well
One other thing I did is I whipped up a perl script that converted all the video files from the UDM-PRO drive into mp4 files on another drive, using the unifi protect remux program. It's not the best program (I'm a sysadmin, not a software developer) but it worked for me. It took just under 30 hours to do just shy of 7TB of ubv files. I went from:
- Have a UDM Pro with NVR running, can I pull the HDD and see the footage?
- Unifi Protect Videos not Playing in Plex on Apple TV

Duplicate entire lan setup or just create a new site?
I built my network using terraform, makes it pretty easy to duplicate. Not all settings are supported but networks, wlans, firewall rules, static IPs can be done with the terraform provider.

Any (Ubiquiti) security experts in the room?
I recently used this terraform provider to automate Unifi setup at scale. It's a deep topic if you've never used terraform before, and this provider is community supported so there's some bumps, but overall it's been pretty great. There are also some hidden settings you can't adjust through the UI e.g. internetAccessEnabled and intranetAccessEnabled which change the predefined firewall rules

There is an unofficial go sdk and Terraform Provider. Now with port profile support, but I have not tested it, yet.

Does EdgeRouter or Unifi support Infrastructure as Code?
I was just looking into this. Nothing from ansible or NAPALM, but a community provider for TF that would need some iteration to be full-featured. https://github.com/paultyng/terraform-provider-unifi
