Umineko script with name of character talking for each line?
This is the script from Umineko Project, which seems to me the best translation; https://github.com/umineko-project/umineko-scripting/tree/master/story However, it does not specify who is speaking for each line.

Anyone know where I can get the Japanese script?

Translating the game into polish
So after a bit of browsing through the different repositories of umineko project, I think I found the files you're jnterested in. Thankfully they are plain txt files so you won't have to bother with weird file format and syntaxes. Here's the link for the first episode in English: https://github.com/umineko-project/umineko-scripting/tree/master/story/ep1/en

Console players?
for Umineko: Umineko project, if you find the installing process difficult then I'd suggest downloading the game from here and then download this and extract it in the folder of the game, then you start the game and you're done. Make sure you go in the settings andchange the language to "witch hunt"

My first year reading VNs. My only regret is that I didn't start sooner
Well they also translated the console arc, but no it's no the same thing, you would need to download it from the 07th web (they are big batches of data) and then modify himatsubushi files so it can run the script.

Can you tell me the order of the visual novel that I have to play to understand everything?

What is the best order to read/watch the series?
Those 8 arcs make the core and basics of Higurashi franchise (you have to read all Questions arcs before Answer ones)If you want more then there's (fan)translated Higurashi Rei (that have Extra stories)Saikoroshi (Dice Killing Arc) - Epilogue considered by most to be the true ending of the seriesBatsukoishi (Penalty Loving Arc) - Ecchi thingyHirukowashi (Daybreak Arc) - Love-love based on Higurashi Daybreak action gameHigurashi Matsuri and Kizuna are sorta alternative stories/different endings/console arcs, they're fantranslatedto english but you need Steam/Mangagamer version of Chapter 4: Himatsubushi (then you patch it with -console arcs- from 07 expansion mod site)Here's flowchart to visualise and there's little "how to start"/ quickguide07 Expansion Mod is a mod that adds console sprites/restores music and I think add Voice Acting back to games.

Higurashi where to start?
Higurashi Matsuri and Kizuna are sorta alternative stories/different endings/console arcs, they're fantranslated to english but you need Steam/Mangagamer version of Himatsubushi (then you patch it with consle arcs from 07 expansion mod site)

What are some untranslated games/novels/manga/anime/other that you wish were translated?
There's actually been ongoing fan-translations for most of the Higurashi console arcs.

Just Finished Higurashi Chapter 2 {Spoilers}
while people usually tell you to read the main 8 stories first before reading the console arcs, the best way to enjoy everything higurashi has to offer is to install the console arc and read based on the chart from the dude below me. You can find out how to install it for free here: github.com/07th-mod/higurashi-console-arcs
