Expectations for a mostly solo freelancer of 10 years? I want to return to full-time work.
I've had a ton of luck with a 5-year freelancing stretch on my resume by listing a sample of projects that I actually delivered during that stretch. If you think it's the resume stage where you're struggling, feel free to fork mine (https://github.com/sbrother/resume/blob/master/resume.pdf). The "Cairn Labs" section is my freelancing experience, and while it's probably overly long and wordy, I find some people in big companies are biased against freelancing and it helps to add evidence that it's "real" experience.
