bat VS TLP

You can use https://github.com/tshakalekholoane/bat to set the threshold via cli. If you use GNOME you can instead use this https://github.com/maniacx/Battery-Health-Charging/ shell extension.

I recently just got done with updating my system to Fedora 36 and decided to limit the charging threshold on my laptop. I've done this before on Fedora 35 with a tutorial from linuxuprising but I decided to use this program and installed it using this tutorial for this time around. I do have some questions however.

On my two ASUS laptops I use https://github.com/tshakalekholoane/bat and it works perfectly.

try asus-battery-limiter on asus laptop, it works on me

Usually full charge give me about ~5 hours, after install tlp here https://linrunner.de/tlp

They definately do conflict, it was discussed back when ppd first arrived: https://github.com/linrunner/TLP/issues/564

If you're certain your GPU has deeper power saving states than P8, I would start by checking why it's not using them. Maybe tlp, powertop or nvtop (or their documentation) can help.
