With what's happening with Binance, Coinbase, and others lately, I think we should switch to DeFi Platforms and Hard Wallets ASAP.
Next thing to have is a hard wallet if you haven’t already like a Ledger or a Trezor and let it sit there. That’s the safest thing to do! Also, there’s always been a risk of KYC (Know Your Customer) on CEXes as mentioned several times. This was all meant to be decentralized and keep our identity under wraps and retain that anonymity that crypto was originally designed for… and you get a hold of your keys.

Trezor model 1 not recognized
where "x.y.z" is the VERSION of trezor (aka TrezorCTL) you are trying to install. See the version history when picking a version. "Oldest" is not necessarily "best". You'll want to pick a version that was released around the same time your Trezor-1 was last updated.

Daily General Discussion - June 19, 2023
I've purchased a Trezor model T from what I believe is the official Trezor website (https://trezor.io/). Is it rational for me to have a slight fear that it isn't a legit trezor and maybe the chip is compromised, possibly being able to send off my seed to an unknown party?

25 Word Electrum phrase (Monero App)
Hi. Using a Ledger Nano S device, I'm able to use the blue-app-monero tools (URL: https://github.com/LedgerHQ/app-monero/blob/master/tools/python/README.md) to fill the "Show 25 words" item under the Monero app's Settings menu with the 25-word Electrum seed phrase for the Monero wallet. Ordinary, of course, I use my hardware device to access my Monero--that's what it's for :) --but I do want the ability to make a copy of the 25 word phrase that I can use in an emergency if I don't have my device and I need quick access to my funds. I'll hide the phrase in the bottom of a seismologically stable mine shaft or something. The python tool that directs the Monero app to fill the 25-word menu item with my seed phrase works with the Nano S, but not with the Nano S+ or the Nano X. I keep separate wallets on those devices, and while I could tediously reset the Nano S with the seed phrases of my other devices and apply any very long alpha-numeric-plus-symbols pass phrases that may or may not be applicable to the wallets I want to get Electrum phrases from, that'd be far from ideal. Is there a different tool for the newer devices? Thanks!

That's normal. It's blank until you use Ledger's python tool on your computer.

Show/Set XMR Ledger Electrum seed
The Monero GUI can uniquely generate a 25 word recovery phrase that is used to access XMR in the case that the physical Ledger device is lost, but a user needs to access their funds in an emergency using the Monero GUI. This process utilizes the private keys (24 word recovery phrase) of a user and converts them into the Monero GUI format of a 25 word recovery phrase.

I have question about ledger monero.
As u/VariousJackfruit mentioned, you can use the code from Github, here, with respect to converting a 24 word recovery phrase to the Monero GUI's 25 word recovery phrase format.
