Returning to the Manjaro Community
Suppose for most people, Manjaro honestly gets the job done. Though if you are feeling adventurous there is an easy way to upgrade from Manjaro to Arch while keeping everything else on your system.

Manjaro to Arch script keeps failing
Has anyone ever tried this before and experienced the same issue? I am testing this in a VM with the intent to run it on my main machine but it's not working out so far. As usual I appreciate the help this sub and the Linux community in general continues to provide me in my quest for software freedom. Here is the link to the script for anyone who is curious or unfamiliar.

Nobody wants to buy my old graphics card bruh
But I've heard of this script which turns Endeavour into Arch https://github.com/kskeigrshi/to-arch.sh Which would give you the Arch logo without reinstalling.

If i convert manjaro to Arch?
I'm the person who wrote this that converts Manjaro to Arch. I didn't write the script to show off people, it was more like a joke to piss off Arch elitists. You're really right, but as you know, Linux is freedom, so why not.
- Pls shut the fuck up who does this shit
- I've written a Bash script that converts a Manjaro/EndeavourOS installation into vanilla Arch.

you know you want .
There's no vulnerability to mitigate here. The script isn't doing anything nefarious. You need an ssh login and root privileges in the first place to do this.

Is it possible to 'lift' disk contents to RAM?
takeover.sh does exactly what you want to: it "kills" the running userland and starts a new one from RAM, allowing you to fully repartition your disks. It's a neat option and offers the most flexibility, it has worked for lots of people, but I haven't had much luck with it personally.

What are some alternatives?
When comparing to-arch.sh and takeover.sh you can also consider the following projects:

nixos-infect - [GPLv3+] install nixos over the existing OS in a DigitalOcean droplet (and others with minor modifications)
manjarno - Reasons for which I don't use Manjaro anymore
