How long would it take to feel comfortable with JS?
When it comes to syntax it is merely repetition and exposure. Use a very strict linter to enforce consistency. Do not use tools that "auto-fix" your code for you. Use a linter to tell you what to fix, and then do it by hand every time, so you train yourself to not make those simple mistakes any more, and ingrain that syntax in you.
