How about running Laravel Tinker with Form?
CMF is good, but I think these two things are not the same. What I do is just a lightweight thing that only requires your application to integrate Tinker/PsySH, and whatever your Laravel or PHP version is, so I just made something that you should write PHP code in the terminal and now can be written in the editor or GUI.

concerned about long term stability of laravel
Yeah, I'm the guy who tells you: No one is forcing you to switch to Vite. Laravel Mix still works and will work for the forseeable future. Mix isn't even part of the Laravel GitHub organisation and noone from the core Laravel team has contributed to the package in the last few months.
