OutRun VS cannonball

Ive had a similar problem to you, but I have mostly solved it by using the Outrun app (which is free and open source), and going into the settings and turning up the GPS smoothing. I mostly run in central london, and it seems to work with the tall buildings here.

Shout out to the app "Out-Run" that I use to track my rides. Privacy focused way to track your rides without all of the bullshit social media that comes with Strava. No account, all data stored locally, can easily export your rides, no data collected. Have exchanged a few emails with the dev and he's a super cool dude, so I shout out his app at every opportunity. All open source as well.

Also, there's a couple of re-engineered Outrun implementations that would be worth a look - here's Cannonball, and there's apparently another one come out recently.

Sometimes I like to fire up Cannonball, turn off the time limit, and just cruise to some Magical Sound Shower.

Might be Cannonball, which is an engine that plays Outrun.

It quite obviously is built around very careful study of the original assembly language, and all the code has been carefully translated, or rewritten, into C++. But to someone like Take Two, it truly doesn't matter if you wrote C++ that closely resembled their raw assembly or not. They'd send the DMCA regardless.
