Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Easy Bolt
It's based on threadlib and makes it easier to create these objects than other tools. It has 950 threads to choose from. Pick one... and customize.

It's the simple functional prints that make this hobby so great... 30mins from idea to reality...
They have a list of them here, and I personally use BOSL, gears, threadlib, and tsmthread for NPT/ACME threads.
- OpenSCAD 3D rendering just got an order of magnitude faster

PCF-38P-5 thread
I have had success with https://github.com/adrianschlatter/threadlib

AnchorSCAD Preview
Give us some images. Show us how to make a cube, how to put a cylinder on any of its faces, how to import and call a custom OpenSCAD function (ie: a gear from https://github.com/chrisspen/gears), how to sketch stuff (just slap it together quickly, in case I don't really know what I'm making yet), how to finalize stuff (add the doc strings, etc., at this point).
- that's what I call PRECISION....and a lot of luck.

My friend asked me to see if I could fix her music box. 14 gear test prints later, and I got it to work. (It's the small gray one under the black that broke. Someone had greased what should not have been greased.)
There are also some excellent gear libraries for openscad. I use this one extensively: https://github.com/chrisspen/gears
What are some alternatives?
BOSL - The Belfry OpenScad Library - A library of tools, shapes, and helpers to make OpenScad easier to use.
BOSL2 - The Belfry OpenScad Library, v2.0. An OpenSCAD library of shapes, masks, and manipulators to make working with OpenSCAD easier. BETA
anchorscad - A Python 3D modelling API for generating OpenSCAD source code. This library simplifies the creating of 3D models and contains a suite of completed models including Raspberry Pi cases and other models.
NopSCADlib - Library of parts modelled in OpenSCAD and a framework for making projects
SolidPython - A python frontend for solid modelling that compiles to OpenSCAD
dotSCAD - Reduce the burden of mathematics when playing OpenSCAD
Round-Anything - A set of OpenSCAD utilities for adding radii and fillets, that embodies a robust approach to developing OpenSCAD parts.
3d-printing-high-security-key - Get Your 3D Printed High Security Key
faustlibraries - The Faust libraries
libfive - Infrastructure for solid modeling
pathbuilder - Pathbuilder tool to easily create complex 2D shapes for use in openSCAD.
