ArcGIS Story Maps - Open Source...Technically, but not really?
However, looking at the documentation on their github (https://github.com/Esri/storymap-basic) it looks like you need to make an app within your AGOL or Portal organization and put the app ID in the source code in order to get it to work. So while the code may be open source, this tells me that it's still a paid solution out of the box, which I believe is intentionally misleading at its worst and/or a marketing gimmick at best.
