terraform-provider-btp VS terraform-provider-aws

When demoing the Terraform Provider for SAP BTP and talking about the advantages of Infrastructure as Code, one important aspect is that Terraform does not only provision the infrastructure but covers the management of the resources like updating configurations. While this is technically straightforward namely you update and apply the configuration, there are some challenges when doing this in a CI/CD setup.

Another aspect worth to discuss is the integration into existing processes especially on the SAP side of the house. We implemented the flow and the "handling" (namely the creation of a GitHub issue) in an isolated fashion. However, we also received the ask to integrate the flow into the SAP solutions that might already deal with such governance tasks like SAP Cloud ALM. based on that we have a feature request open (link) in the repository of the Terraform Provider for SAP BTP. API for IaaC: At least for Pulumi, it appears not all IPv6 settings are configurable. For example, I could not retrieve IPv6 automatically in the same way as IPv4 via Elastic IP, or I could not configure ICMPv6 ACL (a similar issue is reported in the Terraform repository).

Well, at least we now have a promising lead. Some diligent googling and browsing through Github issues in the AWS provider project yielded no directly related findings. However, I did come across a few recent bug reports about the recent change AWS made regarding the treatment of public buckets. And interestingly, they described precisely the behavior I was encountering.
