Best things to focus on ? 2022
If you want the portfolio site to be a big part of how you market yourself, look at some other professional's successful portfolio sites as a jumping off point to model yours off of. Here are a couple I bookmarked when I started working on mine that I liked the style of (you should look yourself and find what fits with your personality): https://varun.ca/ https://joshwcomeau.com/ https://tom.preston-werner.com/ https://tholman.com/ https://www.taniarascia.com/

I made a full-stack portfolio site using Next.js and Tailwind!
The initial idea I had in my mind was a very minimal site with a minimal navbar that would look more like a sidebar, and the design would be somewhat inspired by leerob’s site. Apart from this, I also wanted my site to display some cool dynamic and real-time data like my Spotify data, my blog posts fetched from dev.to and a guestbook where people could leave messages for me!
