Agreed, but that is a problem in itself since a lot of routers don't natively support Tailscale yet. From the stuff I've read so far, the closest one that's the most simple is probably Tailscale on OPNSense, but I don't use it. I currently use pfSense and MikroTik. There's this guide for MikroTik, but it's a little complex and sketchy at best since it requires using an RC/dev firmware.

I did find this but I don't have a arm-based MikroTik at hand. I'd like to know if it works (and what performance to expect) before I buy a new one.
