Then you’ll want subclean; this is a great, if slightly frowned upon application depending on your views on whether removing advertising is good or bad. It is used to clean subtitles of all advertising and can be added to bazarr to run as a post process.

I decided to go down another route and wanted to update my process for anyone else that may need help. I ended up using this subcleaner from u/waraxx.

I built a smart ad remove script with a clean result without any empty subtitle blocks.
So I made the ultimate subtitle-ads-remover script. Called it (subcleaner)[https://github.com/KBlixt/subcleaner]. It's a clean way to remove subtitles and won't leave any pesky empty blocks. It'll deal with all the subtitle re-indexing so that you won't even know there ever were any ads at all. it only works for .srt files currently.
