Look at this. The majority of the site's biggest subreddits went private. The top three did.

I cannot access r/watchexchange recently.
So, r/watchexchange decided to leave a note, which only shows on desktop at their main sub page, that says "Buy, sell, or trade watches! r/watchexchange has been set to private for June 12-14 as part of the protest against reddit's API changes.
