Capitalize word just typed
The other answer is good, but here's a possibly faster one: use string-inflection. I have string-inflection-all-cycle bound to C-c i. Advantage is that you can get "ALLCAPS" or "Capitalized" by just repeating string-inflection-all-cycle. (I actually do what the docs suggest and customize it according to major mode, but that's a detail.)

Further, both packages could be made more sophisticated, see VIM's switch.vim (issue). Which I'd be fine with but personally don't have a need for this. In fact I'm wary of getting too sophisticated as there can be all kinds of corner cases that end up needing a full AST to properly manipulate larger blocks of code.
