any recommendations for themes that can reduce eye strain?
I've just recently switched to Base 16 color schemes (dark mode) which was posted here a couple of weeks back. I found the author's choice of #222222 for the background just a bit too light for my taste and changed it to my customary #0c0c0c that I use for the background in my terminals and I like the theme very much.

Have you ever wondered how "average popular Neovim color scheme" looks like? I have. Here is the result (details in comments):
Thank you and although I haven't used any of these but I've played with various ayu, paper, gruvbox-material ones and it's awesome to test out various ones as my mood changes. My current favorite is Seoul256.
