File system for STM
I was trying to implement a bsp file_system file by referring to the Samsung provided STDK for esp8266 here. Here it was done using the nvs library. I was looking if it could be done in any other way or so.

You also don't have to build your own hub. Samsung SmartThings is fairly open about their APIs, although then you're in bed with SmartThings: https://github.com/SmartThingsCommunity/st-device-sdk-c .

My parents put up a ring camera in my room
While magnet won't work, for wifi cameras you can safely and remotely deauthorize them (well, them and every other device on that access point) - tech is cheap and easily available (we're talking about $3 worth of hardware). Wired cameras generally don't enjoy ESD on their Ethernet cable pins. You can easily provide them with some using a piezo clicker from a cheap lighter.
