Is anyone working with Vite?
The first thing to do should always be to see where the time is being spent. For that you can use https://github.com/stephencookdev/speed-measure-webpack-plugin

Is anyone working with Vite?
The biggest hurdle I've had recently is Storybook doesn't play well with Vite yet (storybook-builder-vite needs maintainers). So far we're getting by using the webpack builder, but this might not be an option depending on what vite plugins you need.

Interactive stories (beta)โsimulate user behaviour using Testing Library
Support for Vite and other bundlers. Storybook was rearchitected to work with any bundler. The challenge here is that Storybook runs your components. So you need to be using Vite or Snowpack in your project too. Most teams don't do that yet because tools like CRA don't use it yet. But that's where we're all headed sooner or later.
