10 ways to get the best out of OpenSCAD
Before I ran into insurmountable (for me) performance issues with OpenSCAD, I made heavy use of BOSL2[0]. I’d go as far as call it OpenSCAD’s missing standard library. It’s truly sublime.
Fun fact: BOSL2 was written by the same person who made the world’s most 3D printable 3D printer. [1]

How can I create a quarter cylinder?
In the vein of "lots of ways to do things", my personal favorite for rounding is Round Anything: https://github.com/Irev-Dev/Round-Anything

OpenSCAD 3D rendering just got an order of magnitude faster
I was looking for this recently and found a great OpenSCAD library called RoundAnything. It looks very productive:

Try this,
Yes, The tip solves one of the most reoccurring questions about OpenSCAD, How to make chamfer and fillets on extrusions. As for description the code is both commented and names are assigned to indicate their purpose. In combination with the Round-Anything library a good chunk of usually hard modeling becomes real easy.

This how far I've gotten after 10 days through learning curve and iterative cycle of OpenSCAD > Cura Slicing > 3D Printing > Tweaking > Repeating...
Back to topic, you might find Round Anything to be useful -- I certainly have. I haven't used it yet, but the shell2d() out of the Belfry OpenScad Library also looks like it would be helpful for these sort of functional parts.

"offset" for 3D?
I submit my own library that supposed to help with fillets, can be used for chamfers too. https://github.com/Irev-Dev/Round-Anything
