Real life use of crypto?
it's basically in the InterPlanetary File System the base system is used by Akash its fantastic, download the app https://www.akashlytics.com/deploy very low learning and you can host and use cloud computing and storage https://www.akashlytics.com/ for file transfer https://siasky.net/ is great for a different reason .... https://scrt.network/ecosystem/dapps is an amazing new coming feature https://jackaldao.com/ .... the best project for Storage will be jackal coming soon.... I will defo be in on this for many reasons .... privacy and cost

ANNOUNCEMENT: June 9 @ Exactly 1p.m PST I Will Be Releasing DAMNING Evidence Against Ken Griffin.
for op, there is a storage blockchain called siacoin. 100gb free and files split between 3 decentralized hosts. seen too many "he died by going 70mph into a tree" stories then the story purged. when the info could have just been posted here https://siasky.net/

Turtle got VERY upset that dad was playing beat saber
The issue is that siasky.net is a public portal/host and anyone can upload files or websites there. This is not really different from other file or website hosts, but unfortunately the company behind siasky.net doesn't have the resources to keep the domain out of all blocklists because they are still pretty small. You can read more about it here: https://blog.sia.tech/the-worrying-depth-and-scope-of-censorship-on-the-internet-ffd4bc5a5486?source=collection\_home---5------0-----------------------

I cant upload files to my account on Sia Skynet
Please, dont remove https://siasky.net gateway domain, we are using for link our CIDs
-
Looking for a "decentralized RDBMS"
Not exactly sure, but if you're willing to put in a little bit of development effort, you should be able to build something on top of https://siasky.net

Basic guide for a first Handshake site
(5) Once you are happy with the result. You just need to upload the folder (where the files are) to https://siasky.net/ via Sinpapeles.xyz.
-
Has Skynet other gateways differente to official?
can be accesses by the siasky.net domain, but what will happend if this domain is down?
-
Testnet for Sia?
You can test Sia via Skynet out at https://siasky.net/
-
Is sia fading?
It's not Skynet that is slow, it is siasky.net which is having issues. So it is simply due to the portal you are using to download from. Granted there aren't any alternatives yet for the general public, but there is a skynetpro server that is currently in beta tests and is dedicated to paid users. There is also a number of other third-party run portals that should be coming online relatively soon. Alternatively however you could always choose to run your own portal and have direct access to Skynet and have 100% control of your own data.

Looking for help to build website from my handshake domain
In the end, you can download the files and/or upload to siasky.net.

Unlocking New Possibilities: NFTb is evolving into PixelRealm, a first of its kind Gaming Marketplace integrating Oasis Smart Privacy and Confidential Smart Contracts
The way smart privacy solutions of Oasis are gaining traction thanks to the use of confidential smart contracts, this development was just waiting to happen. We already have seen a huge paradigm shift in DeFi (illumineX, CoinSender, Ocean Predictoor, Synthr, Celer cBridge, etc), web3 gaming (Pixudi), governance (Woo3), data storage (Crust Files), and cross-ecosystem (Oraichain) examples where privacy is the new normal of the new-gen web3. Now, with the NFTb (PixelRealm) partnership, Oasis is making its presence known in the NFT marketplace and will redefine web3 auctions by adding the element of confidentiality that no other protocol can provide.

Projects to contribute to
I would recommend Oasis, as it is the only L1 protocol with confidential EVM in production (Sapphire) and can function as a cross-chain L2 (OPL) as well. Check out here, also the documentation, and GitHub. As the home of smart privacy, it is ideal for any web3 project. It can impact non-DeFi spaces like SocialFi, confidential voting in DAOs, confidential NFTs, confidential game logic in web3 gaming, etc, and also has applicability in account abstraction and responsible AI.

Is there such a project that allows for ethical anonymous coins ?
Oasis Network is a layer-1 blockchain protocol that prioritizes privacy and security while also enabling developers to build privacy-enabled applications. It goes beyond simple anonymity by incorporating features like confidential runtimes and cross-chain privacy tools. So, in the realm of privacy-focused blockchain projects, it definitely is worth keeping an eye on.
