The navigation compose library is the most confusing thing I've tried to learn in a while.
Yup, that's why we're working on https://github.com/Zhuinden/simple-stack-compose-integration/ to make it as simple as backstack.goTo(SomeScreenKey(arg1, arg2)) instead of this navController.navigateTo("some/screen&arg1=${UrlEncoder.encode(arg1.toBase64())} stuff. If you are working on an Android app that will always be on Android-only, why would you inherit limitations from Kotlin Multi-platform?

Should I use fragments with Jetpack Compose?
We have https://github.com/Zhuinden/simple-stack-compose-integration/ but the fact that I'd normally prefer to use fragments kinda holds it back

What do you use for compose navigation?
However, it's worth noting that thanks to a guy named @matejdro we are working on a pure-Compose version, in which setup has been reduced to

What's the Current State of Android Developmentโข?
i'd love to recommend simple-stack-compose-integration but i never wrote this missing link

4 reasons Jetpack Compose is better than XML
Using any of the 5 prominent community alternatives is a better approach (even though most people hoping to use the docs as if it was like, written for stable code, will muck around with their apps crashing if the user inputs a & symbol). I have this thing but I'd consider taking a look at https://github.com/adrielcafe/voyager or maybe https://github.com/olshevski/compose-navigation-reimagined

How to migrate an existing app to compose?
If you're deadset on full compose navigation I'd check out Zhuinden`s simple-stack-compose-integration

What is the thing you most struggle with when using Jetpack Compose?
I'm almost tempted to use multiple ComposeViews, but I'm definitely not using 1 ComposeView N composables any time soon, even though technically I have the code to support it.

Android Development: A Bug-Laden Ballet on a Spaghetti Tightrope
The truly disheartening part is that whenever you choose something that works, for example ViewPager1, you need to defend that yes, this thing actually works as intended, yes, there's nothing in it that would "break over time" just because Googlers added the @Deprecated on it, and yes, you still don't want to use Compost for this because you still cannot scroll vertically in a horizontal Pager if your view is a WebView.

Do Company form the industry actually use Jetpack Compose?
Compose on the other hand came out half-baked, significant performance issues, missing features, bugs and bugs and bugs and bugs and bugs and bugs and bugs and bugs and bugs.

Just to add to the list, Accompanist is a collection of compose libraries that helps a lot with some features. I can recommend Navigation-Animationand Permissions. https://github.com/google/accompanist

Photo Picker Everywhere
To give a bit of context, libraries not released as Jetpack libraries as experiment projects. Once they're released as Jetpack libraries, we have stricter release schedule in place and more resources to provide better stability for developers. That's why some Accompanist libraries end up as part of Compose foundation set, while others are still being shipped as part of the Accompanist project.

What do you use for compose navigation?
So you're going to get support for Parcelables in argument passing, animation support without having to fear crashes, and if you drink the ScopedServices koolaid you even get to get DI with lifecycle management and scope inheritance.

Jetpack compose navigation vs fragments
Here's a fun bug though https://github.com/google/accompanist/issues/1233
- Accompanist v0.25.0 is released!

Clean Empty Jetpack Compose App Template
There is a bug the preview is not working when System UI controller is used. See issue tracker here.

I ported the Spotify Mobius GitHub wiki to GitHub Pages + MkDocs with light and dark modes. I just created the issue and filed the PR. Let's see what happens!
๐ I have been using Mobius personally and for work for over two years now. It's a lot of fun to use and I would definitely recommend the community to consider using it. I frequently visit their GitHub repo because they still have their documentation in the GitHub wiki, unlike new repos such as Accompanist. So, I thought what better way to give back than do the grunt work of porting their wiki to GitHub Pages + MkDocs โค๏ธ๐ฅ
