Good tutorials for AI engine (pref Katago) and GUI directed at non-technical people?
Thanks, that seems like a very good advice. I have now actually managed to get Katago to work with Ogatak (step by step instructions can be found here), and I am slowly getting somewhat of a grip by watching youtube videos of varying quality. But it is a very piecemeal approach and I would really love to have a more systematic way of learning the ropes. But like I said, overall I am of course just super happy that there are these riches out there!

Studying Go with Katago
I used KataGo on Katrain, Sabaki, Lizzie ... but the one I like best is Ogatak: https://github.com/rooklift/ogatak/ Maybe you want to give it a try.

Delete all side branches in SGF file
Certain SGF editors can do this. I know Ogatak can (because I wrote it) although it's really a KataGo GUI first and only an SGF editor second.
