Setting up DKIM may sound technical, but modern email providers (ESP) and services have made it straightforward. As a SaaS company, you’ll typically use an email sending service (like Sidemail, SendGrid, Mailgun, etc.) or your own mail server to send emails. Let’s break down the setup process:

I am using SendGrid to send transactional emails. It is a little pricey, but the deliverability is great. It is important for me and my team to maintain good reputation on both our domain and IP address. This means that we need to monitor the email delivery and engagement metrics.

You will notice that the default email provider is sendmail, this is for local development. However, for production-ready applications, we will be using SendGrid as our email provider.

Select an API Service: For this guide, we’ll use SendGrid.

Sign in to SendGrid, set up your API key, and verify your sender email.

SendGrid account: Sign up for a free account.

Plunk: An open-source email platform built on AWS SES. It allows you to easily send emails from your applications. It can be seen as a self-hosted alternative to services like SendGrid, Resend, or Mailgun.

There is a visits count in the footer section of the website. I used CountAPI to count the number of times this website has been visited.

Don't know about the bot but there's an API that does increments

To achieve this, I use Google Analytics and countapi-js.

I used monaco-editor for the code-editor, esbuild and rollup as bundler and treeshaker respectively, pako as a js port of the zlib and gzip libraries, pretty-bytes to convert the gzip size to human readable values, and countapi-js to keep track of the number of page visits, in a private and secure way.
