What is your opinion on Linux?
You don't need to use CrOS Flex, you can use Brunch, it's another to run ChromeOS but also allows you to use Android Apps on it (Which is the key feature of ChromeOS imo).

Chromebooks will get 10 years of automatic updates
I literally did some web dev work on my Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550 (released 2012) last week. It's running linux[1] at this point (since it's EOL), and is a little slow, but it's still perfectly functional for running vscode and a local webserver. (As others have pointed out, browsing the reset of the bloated web is a pain, though)

Asus c302ca firmware failed to load - no sound
[On Github](https://github.com/GalliumOS/galliumos-distro/issues/379) it is suggested to use [script](https://github.com/eupnea-linux/audio-scripts) which downloads the native Chrome OS and extract from there missing binaries. Why those are not opon sourced?
